Domaine Thierry Mothe is a family-owned Chablis estate in Burgundy, founded in 1887 and run by Jean-Louis Mothe, Thierry Mothe, and Vincent Mothe. Based around Fontenay-près-Chablis, the domaine grows only Chardonnay across the Chablis appellations. Thierry Mothe oversees the winemaking, which emphasizes hand-harvested fruit and temperature-controlled stainless-steel fermentations to preserve purity and minerality, with occasional use of older oak for Grand Cru wines. The family follows a lutte raisonnée approach in the vineyards and markets a sustainable Chablis, though no formal certifications are cited. Alongside the vines, they also manage livestock and cereal crops.
