Château Le Maine is an independent family-owned estate in the historic village of Plassac, Bordeaux, run by Geoff and Marion Cook, who acquired and replanted the vineyard in 2015. The estate farms limestone-clay soils organically, completing its conversion to full Bio certification in 2019. Its plantings include Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. With the owners directly managing the operation, Château Le Maine reflects a hands-on, boutique approach focused on sustainable vineyard work and expressive Bordeaux character.
