Château La Rose Montviel is a Pomerol estate owned by Catherine Pere-Verge since 1985. Its vineyards benefit from well-ventilated soils, with production focused on the estate’s best parcels. The vines are cane-pruned, with systematic leaf removal and green harvesting, while chemical treatments are kept to a minimum. Grapes are hand-picked and transported in small bins to protect their quality. Winemaking is overseen by consultant Michel Rolland, who conducts the final blending. The estate’s approach combines careful vineyard work with low-impact practices, although no formal sustainability certification is noted.
