Wagner-Stempel is a family-owned estate in Siefersheim, at the western edge of Rheinhessen, where steep volcanic hills, heath, quarries and old stone walls shape the vineyards. Owned by Daniel and Catherine Wagner since 1845, the estate is a VDP member and farms sites including Höllberg, Heerkretz and Scharlachberg. Daniel Wagner and Oliver Müller lead the winemaking, with a focus on selective harvesting, careful canopy management and expressing Siefersheim’s characteristic low-pH freshness. The range includes Riesling, Silvaner, Scheurebe, Sauvignon Blanc, Burgundy varieties and Merlot, alongside VDP Erste and Große Lage wines, noble sweet, reserve and sparkling wines. Vintage reports emphasize meticulous vineyard work, healthy, concentrated fruit and balanced wines with freshness and, in warmer years, a salty finish.
