Poggio Brigante

Italy

Poggio Brigante is a family-run estate in southern Maremma, Tuscany, owned and operated by Franco Rossi and his son Leonardo since 2001. The family’s connection to the property reaches back to 1952, when Enos Rossi acquired the farm. Its vineyards lie in the hills of Morellino di Scansano at around 200 metres above sea level, producing Morellino di Scansano DOCG, Vermentino IGT and Syrah IGT. The estate describes its viticulture as organic, with a focus on respect for nature and biodiversity, meticulous vineyard care, and wines that express the character of the Maremma. Traditional methods are combined with innovation, reflecting a family-led approach rooted in the territory.
