Meridiano Perdido is a small-scale project in Andalusia’s Marco de Jerez, led by winemaker Joaquín Gómez. Focused on recovering and revaluing traditional Vinos de Pasto, it seeks to express the region’s old Palomino vineyards, albariza soils, climate and cultural history through still, unfortified whites. The wines are organically cultivated or made from organically farmed grapes, without stated formal certification. Gómez combines manual nighttime harvesting and vertical pressing with fermentation or aging in French oak and Jerez botas. The project reflects a close connection between vineyard and sea, while emphasizing respect for field workers, traditional hoe viticulture and the distinctive light of Cádiz.
