Legaris is a Ribera del Duero project founded in 1999 by the Raventós Codorníu group, with vineyards across estates in Curiel de Duero, San Martín de Rubiales, Peñafiel and Gumiel de Mercado. It works primarily with Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and Cabernet Sauvignon, seeking to express the region’s varied soils and microclimates. Viticulture is described as sustainable, with part of its estate vineyards already certified organic and the remainder in conversion; no sustainability certification is otherwise reported. Winemaking has been led by Jorge Bombín since 2008. The winery is moving toward less reliance on selected yeasts and temperature control, greater use of previously used oak, and 500-liter barrels, reflecting a focus on terroir and measured intervention. Current ownership is not specified, and the project also works with supplier vineyards alongside its own holdings.
