Clos de Breuilly is a historic Saint-Pourçain estate in Cesset, Allier, built in 1880 and revived since 2020 by a small team of enthusiasts and friends. Its 20–70-year-old vines have been organically farmed since 2006, with mechanical tillage, natural treatments, restricted yields, rigorous vineyard sorting, and hand harvesting. The estate has expanded through the acquisition of La Treille and collaborative replanting at Mont-Georges. Since 2021, Brian, Denis Barbara, and their colleagues have made low-intervention wines, including Saint-Pourçain, single-variety, sparkling, and oak-aged cuvées. When conditions permit, wines are neither fined nor filtered and receive no added sulfites. The project emphasizes biodiversity, soil respect, renewable energy, and reconnecting Saint-Pourçain’s past with its future.
