Chatzivaritis is a family-owned estate in Goumenissa, Northern Greece, founded by Vagelis Chatzivaritis and Olga Iakovidou and now operated with their daughter Chloi. The estate farms vineyards in and around Goumenissa, including higher-altitude sites, with organic viticulture practiced from the beginning and biodynamic methods also noted. Vineyard work is done by hand, and the cellar follows a low-intervention, natural approach with indigenous yeasts, minimal sulfur, and no commercial yeasts or filtration. Chatzivaritis focuses on organic and natural wines from indigenous Greek varieties alongside some international grapes, with an emphasis on sustainability, site expression, and careful, family-led production. The winery also holds ISO 22000:2018 food-safety certification.
