Château Micalet is a family-run Cru Artisan estate in Cussac-Fort-Médoc in Bordeaux’s Haut-Médoc. First mentioned in 1893, it has been in the Fédieu family since 1972 and is now run by Dominique, with Damien also noted in the estate’s development. Organic farming began in 2004, full conversion followed in 2006, and all wines have been organic since 2009. The family’s approach is rooted in respect for the land, with no herbicides, manual vineyard work, hand harvesting, traditional soil cultivation, indigenous yeasts, and a strong focus on terroir expression. In the cellar, Château Micalet follows traditional Médoc winemaking and élevage, producing authentic, structured wines led by Cabernet Sauvignon and supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
